T02 SpyderSaw™ CLIPIT™

The SpyderSaw combines several Spyderco features: One-hand open/closing, premium blade steel, and a pocket clip with something never before seen on a Spyderco CLIPIT- a toothy five-inch saw blade. The SpyderSaw is specifically designed for camping, hunting, pruning and yard chores with a dual-row of reversed sharpened teeth that eat through wood, bone and fibrous material. The saw blade has a cutting edge length of 4-11/16” (119mm) and is made of high-carbon AUS-6 stainless steel for long-term edge retention. The blade folds into a contoured black FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) composite handle, textured with a grip-sticking waffle pattern that grabs onto wet, gloved or cold hands. Integrated into the handle the pocket clip positions the saw for tip-up carry, securely attaching to a pants pocket, pack strap or waistband. Along the handle’s locking lever a crescent of metal has been removed. Commonly called the ‘David Boye Dent’ this is a safety feature designed by custom knifemaker David Boye. It eliminates the possibility of “gorilla gripping” the handle with enough force to accidentally unlock the blade while sawing or during hard use. Overall length is 10-7/16” (265mm).
